I’m absolutely thrilled to be able to say that Forget-me-not Blues has been chosen as an official selection in the Psychological Suspense category of the 2017 New Apple Book Awards for Excellence in Independent Publishing.
Forget-me-not Blues is the third story in the Abby Foulkes Mysteries series. The first in series, Hibiscus Fruit, was set on Skiathos in the Aegean, while Abby was on holiday with her young son, Johnny. Lady’s Slipper takes place some months later, back in the North East of England, and Abby is back on home ground.
Forget-me-not Blues sees Abby back in Greece again and following a lead on an old case proves to be deadly as she searches for answers to an old mystery alone.
Two women on a Greek island discover a body washed up on the beach before their early morning yoga. They are required to give witness statements to the local police but both are hiding something.
Invited back by Lieutenant Angelo Christofis, local police chief on Skiathos, Abby Foulkes returns to Greece to follow up a lead in the murder of an acquaintance there in the late 1990s. But Angelo’s partner recently had a baby and Abby senses something is wrong. When she can’t get in touch with him she finds herself alone on another Greek island, following up a lead, outside his jurisdiction. She must keep all her wits about her while she investigates old and new crimes at the same time.
